The Kasbah

In the afternoon, Benni and the young man, who had sold us a carpet earlier, took us over to the Kasbah [the fortified village across the ravine that was deserted forty years ago when the villagers moved across to the village we looked around this morning]. Lovely walk along the irrigation channel to the oasis where they grow their crops, and then up into the Kasbah. All in ruins now but much bigger inside than it looked from the outside.
